Description

The renkCast Stick makes your TV pretty smart. The small HDMI stick streams photos, videos, and music as well as web pages and document files to your TV screen. It doesn’t matter at all whether the mirrored content comes straight off the web, is stored on your smartphone, or your tablet. Due to DLNA support, the renkCast Stick also handles NAS content (whatever the make of the drive). The free EZCast app mirrors webpage content , photos and video on iOS and Android devices. The app also enables a varienty of other functions. Moreover, the renkCast can mirror full screen content, too. iOS devices utilise the Apple AirPlay technology. Android devices support Miracast. Generally, Miracast standards are not compatible with other Wi-Fi based features. Which means that Miracast has to be activated manually (via the EZMirror app on Andriod devices). Nevertheless, there’s the option to boot the renkCast in Miracast mode (which, however, will prevent iOS devices from access). The renkCast Stick connects to the HDMI port of any projector. Using the dongle in combination with the free EZCast software for Windows and Mac OS makes for the perfect presentation tool. Makes sure you’e got a good Wi-Fi coverage between router and stick. If the coverage is weak, the stick prioritises keeping the connection stable. Which affects stick functionality significantly. If your coverage is insufficient, consider boosting the signal by using a wireless Access Point or Wi-Fi Powerline adapter.
